JHS goes to Wonderland!

Last spring, the JHS theatre department brought Lewis Carroll's timeless classic of wonder and fantasy to life in Brainerd Duffield's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Forty students got roles in the cast and crew, with Joshua Barnd serving as artistic director and Jordan alumna Anne Colling serving as assistant director. Audiences loved this delightfully entertaining show!

Performances were May 11-13.

In 2016, JHS dabbled in mystical, magical forces with That's the Spirit!, a murder mystery spoof written by Tim Kelly. The play, directed by Joshua Barnd, followed an investigation into the murder of Jenny Davenport, the caretaker of the estate of the Great Marvel, a famous illusionist. In the course of investigating the murder, the local detectives received "help" from a variety of people who claim to be in touch with mystical powers.

In 2015, JHS produced Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, directed by Anthony Rydberg. In 2014, JHS performed Captain Fantastic!, directed by Barnd. Jordan High School's 2013 spring production was The Curious Savage, directed by Rydberg.
