I'm Chris Hirdler, the new Chemical Health Counselor for Jordan Schools. I share this position with New Prague Schools as well. I'm really excited to work with the students, community and staff. I look forward to being part of a team that continues to pride itself on a great tradition. I have worked in the chemical health/addiction field for almost eight years and I am still employed with Hazelden Betty Ford in Chaska as an Addiction Counselor.
My role is to be a resource for students and staff. I hope all will come to me with any questions, concerns, education and/or someone to communicate with regarding life issues that could be related to any substance use concerns.
My schedule is Monday and Wednesday in New Prague. Tuesday and Thursday in Jordan. I split my Friday between schools.
My office is located next to the Jordan High School media center, office #M305.

I reside in New Prague, where I have lived for 25+ years. I have been an alcohol and drug counselor for over seven years. I have two daughters,  McKenna (age 5) and Paige (age 3). I love sports, being outside, fishing, hunting, laughing and joking around.

Chemical Health is a passion of mine, so I am extremely excited to be a resource for the students, staff and community.
